    April 11, 2019
    5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

On behalf of Andrew McGuire, Chapter President and the Calgary Executive, we remind you to mark your calendar for the upcoming Chapter meeting on Thursday April 11th @ 5:00 pm at the Best Western Port O-Call. Pre-meeting presentation by Liteline/A.M. Agencies, Dimming LED Lights. Dimming LED fixtures can be a nightmare! Daniel Silverstein will provide attendees with insights and a technical review of dimming systems and their relative benefits from the perspective of a lighting fixture manufacturer. We will take a deeper dive into how dimmers work, all while examining the dimming technologies that are available on the market today. A predominant objective of this presentation will be placed on understanding the challenges associated with phase cut dimming vs other systems, all in the hope that we can avoid nightmare lighting application scenarios in the future.
Learning Objectives:
1. Differentiate the different classes of dimmers
2. Understand how phase-cut dimmers work
3. Explain how a dimmable LED driver operates
4. Recognize potential conflicts before they happen
5. Identify best practices for matching controls, fixture types and applications.

Followed by networking and cocktails, dinner and chapter meeting with a presentation on Make Your Working Capital Work Harder: Finding Hidden Value in Payments, American Express Canada.

Thank you to Western Electrical for sponsoring this meeting!

We look forward to seeing you there.
